The Time Trial Wangchan courses are spectacular and challenging for all levels with beautiful jungle and stunning mountain sceneries. The trail starts from Suan Lamai, Wangchan, Rayong and offers 3 distances.

The 3 courses will be open and properly marked every Week Ends and Public holidays for 3 months
RACE PACK sent by post:
Race pack will be sent to you maximum 7 days after registration and payment received. We recommend you to wait for your race pack before going to run then course in Wangchan. You will be then able to wear the T-shirt while running. Great for pictures before and after the run with friends and family!
RACE SCHEDULE:
Courses will be open every Week Ends and Public holidays from Saturday 31 October 2020 until Sunday 31 January 2021.
The course is open from 6am until 6pm.
Last starts recommended times:
- 16km: 14:00
- 10km: 15:30
- 5km: 17:00
MINORS:
The runner age less than 18 years old need a parental approval / a minor waiver form. Please send us an email to request the form: info@sportsrepublicth.com

There is a large car park at Suan Lamai-Just follow signage.
HOW TO CHECKIN IN SUAN LAMAI?
Check in procedure before your run start
- Arrive in Suan Lami and park on parking lot. The Park opens from 6am.
- If you arrive before 8am, self-check in at the “ticket counter area”.
- Write your name, distance, BIB number in the registration book that we keep at the registration counter “TTST Registration book”
- If you arrive after 8am, please go to the coffee shop and register with the staff there- Write your name, distance, BIB number in the registration book. Why not enjoy a warm coffee before the start? ☺
- Get ready for your run and make sure that you have with you:
- Your race E-BIB (To show to staff-Can be shown on telephone)
- Wear your race T-shirt
- A telephone in order to contact the emergency numbers in case of problem Rescue number: 038-666515, 092-5201669
- Your device to record your track and time
- The track of your running distance (Received in gpx format at registration). This is not mandatory but it may be useful would you get lost for any reason
- Enough water in camelback or water bottles
- 16km.: 2-3 liters depending of you speed
- 10km.: 1litre minimum
- 5km.: 0.5litre minimum
- Take a look at the Race map and try to understand and memorize it (Near start-Finish signs)
- Take a selfie at the picture backdrop and post it on your social media platform with “I am running the Time Trial Series”
- Make sure about your distance color:
- 5.3km green olive
- 10.6km Blue
- 16.5km Red

- Start you watch, GPS device or running app (DO NOT FORGET)
- Start and enjoy your run
- Latest start times: We do not want our runners to be stuck in the dark and want you to be back before sunset. Last starts recommended times:
- 16km: 14:00
- 10km: 15:30

- After your run you can:
- Take a shower at the toilets area
- Enjoy a good coffee

COURSE MARKING-NAVIGATION:
On course, you will notice different kind of signs – these are described below:
ORANGE RIBBONS
The most noticeable are the thousands of orange ribbons that we used to mark the course every 30-50m – follow these and you know you are on track!
ARROWS
Direction arrows, indicating any turns or junctions to continue, turn left, turn right.
WRONG WAY
Do not continue in this direction! If you missed a turn you will find a cross marking wrong direction and please turn back until you find the course.
YOUR RACE DISTANCE
Please follow your BIB colour / race distance – 16km Red, 10km Blue, 5km Green.
KILOMETRE MARKERS
We will have kilometre markers placed every each kilometre on the course, they are smaller and a good reference in case you need assistance to guide our rescue teams – and just to know what’s left!
SAFETY:
These are the emergency numbers: Rescue number 038-666515, 092-5201669
In case of emergency, you can call this number and the rescue teams that are in standby every racing Week Ends will take or of you as soon as they can.
You will also be given the GPS track upon registration so that you can upload your distance track in your GPS device. Can’t get lost!

- 0.5 litres of water from start-Hydration pack such a camelback or running bottles is recommended for 10km
- 1.5 litres of water from start-Hydration pack such a camelback for 10km
- 2 litres of water from start-Hydration pack such a camelback for 16km-(If very slow, 3litres is recommended)
Recommended equipment.
- Cap, bandana or hat
- Whistle
- Sunglasses
- Sun block or Sun Screen
- Trekking poles
- Adhesive elastic band for making a bandage or a strapping
- Some cash
- Electrolyte powers sachets
- At least 300 calories worth of energy bars /gels
HYDRATION:
Thailand is a tropical and warm country. It is essential to carry water with you there will be NO water or aid station on course. So be prepared and carry your own water in running bottles or hydration packs such a camelback. It is mandatory to carry a minimum of 1.5l on the course, please remember.
We also encourage all runners to cool down when and where it is possible (Immerse your body in a lake or in a river for instance.

Camping
There is a camping ground and facilities for the Wangchan Time Trial Race.
It is located inside the Suan Lamai farm and a footstep from the trail start lines! How convenient. So let’s go camping.
Cost is 200 baht per person without breakfast ( your own tent )

Rules
- Lighting is provided at the camping area from 17.30 hr to 22.00 hr. No electricity provided.
- Showers and lavatories are available at all times.
- Runners have to bring their own tents and bedding. No tents will be available for rent.

COURSE MAPS
RULES & PENALTIES
Rules:
- Participants must be at least
- 16 years old to compete in the 16km distance
- 12 years old to compete in the 10km distance
- 8 years old to compete in the 5km distance
- All participants below 10 years old must be accompanied by a parent/guardian
A minor waiver must be signed by parents for all participants below 18 years of age.
- Race participants may run walk or crawl, but may not make use of any motorized or wheeled vehicles during the race. Doing so could be grounds for disqualification.
- Race participants must make forward progress exclusively under their own power. Carrying, pulling or pushing by other racers or members of the public is prohibited and is grounds for disqualification.
- Racers must follow the marked course route the entire way. Taking short cuts is grounds for disqualification.
- Any littering on the course is strictly prohibited. Race participants are responsible for keeping any trash with them and bring it back to the finish. Littering on the course is grounds for disqualification.
- Your race number must be visible at all times on the outside of your clothing and on the front of your body. Do not cover over your race number with any backpack strap or article of clothing.
- You must carry the Mandatory Gear at all times during the event.
- Use of trekking poles is permitted.
- The timing of the competition begins at the start of the race (START board near the sheep farm) and officially ends when the competitor crosses the finish line (FINISH board near the sheep farm).
- The competitor to cross the finish line in the shortest time is declared the winner.
- The organizer reserves the right to refuse an application from any participant. All athletes must be in good physical condition. The race is not advised for people that have any medical conditions or disabilities.
Penalties
Reasons for Penalties:
- Non-assistance to a person in danger
- Use of an unauthorized means of transport
- Leaving trash on course
1. What is The Time Trial Series?
You are running against the clock on a pre-marked spectacular trail.
3 distances:
- 16km loop
- 10km loop
- 5km loop
FORMAT:
- Participants register for a specific distance online
- Participants run on a pre-marked beautifully designed trail course in the middle of the nature. Real racing environment with orange ribbons, direction arrows, crosses, km markers, separation signs etc.
- Locations not over 150km from Bangkok with very easy access
- Participants run as fast as possible and record their running status with a tracking device (Suunto, Garmin, Strava, running apps)-If not too competitive, you can also just enjoy the course at your own pace…
- Participants are competing against the clock, themselves & against other competitors and friends
- Participants pay only once for one specific category but can go and use the course as many times as they want and try to beat their previous best time
- There will be a general overall ranking updated every week
- Participants will receive the course GPS course track after completing registration
- Racing days only on Saturdays and Sundays
- Participants must carry their own water and food-No water stations
- Participants must send/upload their performance on the event website showing that they completed the course with:
- The start time
- The finish time
- The track and distance
- Participants will be ranked according to their running time
- Participants must follow NEW NORMAL safety rules
- An emergency number will be provided and rescue teams (4X4 car and motocross’s) will be on standby during the competition days. (Week Ends and public holidays only)
- All participants will receive the souvenir T-shirt, the souvenir medal, a face mask and their racing BIB sent by post prior to their run (Within a week after registration confirmation)
- Participants pay only one time and can run the course as many times as they want
2. How The Time Trial Series does works?
- Register to the event and choose a distance (5-10-16km) After payment made, you will receive a confirmation email together with the GPS track according to the distance you chose.
- You will receive your package with T-shirt, mask and medal within a week after register confirmation.
- After receiving your swag, you can now go to Wangchan and run! Do not forget your BIB! You can attach it to the souvenir T-shirt as well.
- Keep your BIB as you may want to go and try the course again later. The Course is open every W.E. and public holidays from 31/10/20 until 30/1/20
- After completed your run, upload your result on the event website. Very important.
- Your time will be in the rankings
- You can go again and try to beat your last time anytime, as many times as you want!
3. When will I receive my running package?
You will receive your package with T-shirt, mask, medal and race BIB within a week after register confirmation.

7. How do I track my distance and time my run?
You can track by GPS running watch, free smartphone running apps that can show your run distance and date
8. When and where do I post my result after the run?
Go to our website, chooseupload results, upload your run result only when all distance completed.
9. When I completed my run, can I go and run again?
You can enjoy the course as many times as you wish when the course is open-Every WeekEnds and public holidays from 31/10/20 until 30/1/21. You will need to register your name in Suan Lamai every time you go there for running.
10. How to navigate on the course?
- Follow the color of your distance.
- Follow the orange ribbons
- Beware at intersections when different distances routes are separating-Always follow your colour
11. What about rankings?
You will send us your best time once or as many times you want as you can go back and race again as many time as you wish. We will keep your best time only and rankings Overall and Categories will be available on the event web page throughout the season.At the end of the season end of January , we will publish the final rankings both Overall and per category.
